This Weekend

This weekend I have a stall booked at the Henleaze Community Fair in Bristol. If you are in the area why dont you pop down.

Due to holidays and other commitments I wont be booking stalls at many events over the next few months so keep on eye on the website for where I'll be :-)

On another note I recently listed some new pieces in my online shop.

The bracelet above has been handmade from Impression Jasper Gemstone beads and Karen Hill Tribe Fairtrade Spacers. Simple but elegant!

Cute as a Button

Aren't these just the cutest ever?! Helen @ BeadyBugs kindly made me some little cabs which I then turned into these cuties, they measure only 7.5mm in diameter!

They are available for sale now via my website :-)

Perhaps my Favourite Piece to Date...?

Today I uploaded some new pieces to my website. One of them was this necklace and I think it is my favourite piece of jewellery to date! I have had the design for this in mind for around two years and actually bought the shell discs used in the piece over 18 months ago. The reason it took so long is because I have been hunting for the perfect lampwork beads that will complete the look. A few months ago I stumbled across Julie Fountains website Lush Lampwork and feel in love with her unique lampwork beads. I commissioned Julie to make these lovely Ivory Lentil beads and then this morning I finally put the necklace together. I am soooooo pleased with how it has turned out.

The photo really does not do this piece justice!!

Great holiday and some new pieces in the shop

As always, my snowboarding holiday was fantastic. I wont bore you to much but will just show you this pic of the view from apartment on the one day when it snowed really heavily and we were stuck inside. We did venture out in the afternoon and built a tiny ramp outside the apartment block (which unfortunately you can't see in this pic). Wasn't much use for us as it was so small but all the teeny kids around absolutely loved it and spent the rest of the week riding it in their sledges, it was an absolute joy to watch.

I have finally added some new items to the Ajenno Jewellery online shop. My favourite of the new pieces is a gorgeous necklace which is extremely hard to photograph... It has been made from Black Onyx Gemstones which graduate in size from large at the front to small at the back. My favourite part of this necklace is the clasp which unfortunately you cant see in the photograph (note to self, take photograph of clasp!). This necklace is fastened with a humongous, and I mean humongous, Karen Hill Tribe Fair trade Silver hook clasp. It measures a whopping 5cm (50mm) in size.

On another note... I am in the process of re-photographing all the pieces in the Ajenno Jewellery collection so that they all have the same background (I am very particular about everything matching and being colour co-ordinated) so please bare with me as I will be updating the site A LOT over the next few days as and when the new images are ready. In the mean time the online shop may look a bit higgldy piggldy and mismatched until all the new style images have been uploaded.

Sneeky Peek

Just a short post from me as I am off on holiday this afternoon (YAY). Wanted to give you a sneeky peek at the images of Ajenno Jewellery. I have been unhappy with the photographs on my site for a long time but I think I have finally found a background that I like :-)

Let me know what you think.

Taking on to much...

...Ever got the feeling that you've taken on to much? For the last few years I have managed to juggle working full time and running my jewellery business on a part time basis pretty well. This year though things seem to have gone a bit manic. I have started planning my wedding, which I am thoroughly enjoying, and I decided to try and organise some crafty events in the Bristol area as we dont seem to have enough. I must be mad. I do feel like I am neglecting my jewellery business a bit but I am hoping to concentrate on making some new pieces over the next few weeks.

Firstly though I think I need a good few days chilling out. I borrowed a few of my mums trashy novels and plan to spend the next few evenings curled up on the sofa. There may also be some ice cream eating involved... I am sure I have some Haagen Dazs tucked away in the freezer :-)

Check back soon when I'll hopefully have some new jewellery to show you.

I'm back AND I have a new website :-)

Had a lovely holiday, the weather was amazing and I didnt fall over... much. It was nice to get away, even if it was only for a week, I finally feel like myself again.

So.. the new website. In a moment of boredom (when the other half was playing on his playstation) I was fiddling around with photoshop and came up with some new graphics for my website. One thing led to another and the website went under a complete makeover. Hopefully this one is here to stay but we shall see, it is one of my favourites. I give it 2 months!! If you've not seen it yet then head on over and check it out: www.ajenno.co.uk

In other news I have just purchased a fab cupcake bead from Laura Sparling. When I got the email today about them I just couldnt resist. I am planning on turning mine into a fab little pendant. I will try and post a pic when its done.

Off to the sofa now for a well earned rest... its been a busy week!

Catch ya laters.
